Ship Graveyard

Can you imagine a graveyard of ships? This odd place really exists? The Arthur Kill ship graveyard is very strange place where boats go to die. Last Wednesday my Photojournalism professor took the class to this thrilling field trip. The graveyard ship is a hidden attraction located between Staten Island and New Jersey. The port has lots of rusting ships. There are some very old, steam vessels, warships, ferries and fireboats. The place looks ghostly and very creepy, but on the other hand it is an excellent place to take pictures. We paddled the kayak to get there. It took about 15 to 20 minutes to arrive to the place where there were partly submerged and decayed ships. The boats are pretty deteriorated and corroded by the time. However, behind all these junk yards, this is a very interesting and beautiful scenery to photograph.
