For my portfolio project, I'm considering to shoot some images inspired by Federico Garcia Lorca's play Blood Wedding. Blood Wedding is a tragedy by Spanish dramatist Federico García Lorca. It was written in 1932 and first performed in Madrid in March 1933. It is a story of love, betrayal, and revenge that takes place in an Andalusian village. The play also examines issues concerning the conflict between personal desire and social and family responsibilities. Some themes present in Blood Wedding are the cycle of life, the progression of time, choice, deception, fate, and nature. A touch of surrealism will be add to these portraits to create an unique image.
